Thanks for beta testing the new ServiceTrade mobile app. We can’t wait for you to see the new look! We created this app to help technicians be more productive and make it easier to show customers the great work they’re doing on every job.  This article will help you install the app, understand the new interface, report any problems you find, and access the old app if you have any blocking issues.

Note: The beta version will replace the old version of ServiceTrade on your phone. If you run into any issues with the beta version, there are instructions at the bottom of this support article that describe how to reinstall the old version of ServiceTrade.

Android users: We will be releasing the beta version of ServiceTrade for Android soon. This article is for iOS devices.

Installing the app

To install the beta version of the new mobile app on your iPhone or iPad, you must be invited by ServiceTrade's team via Apple's beta testing platform, TestFlight. If you have not already received an invitation, you can request one by emailing support@servicetrade.com. Once you receive the invitation, follow these instructions to install the app:

1. Click the "View in TestFlight" button in the invite you receive from TestFlight

2. Follow the link to "Get TestFlight from the App Store."

3. In the App Store, use the cloud and arrow icon to install the TestFlight app.

4. Open TestFlight and install the new ServiceTrade app

Note: If TestFlight does not give you the option to install the ServiceTrade app, use the "Redeem" link in TestFlight and enter the code found in step 2 above.

Reporting issues

This is a beta version of the new application. As such, we need your help to find any issues. If you find something wrong with the app or if it crashes, please let us know. From the preferences menu (gear icon in the bottom navigation), click the "Contact Support" option to send an email to the support team. Please fill in as much detail as you can about what you were doing and what went wrong.

Switching back to the old app

If you need to switch back to the old version of the ServiceTrade mobile app, go to the App Store and search for ServiceTrade. Once you find the app in the store, click the cloud and arrow icon to reinstall the old ServiceTrade app version.
