  • Updated

Important Note: PartsLedger is now PartsManager. PartsManager retains all of the parts purchasing and warehouse management automation benefits of its predecessor. To read more about this exciting change, click here.

In PartsManager, formerly known as PartsLedger, when you create a Purchase Order and select a Vendor the prices of the items you add will automatically be retrieved. They are retrieved from either the Vendor Price, the Item Price, or the most recent Shipment Receipt Price.

Hovering over the Screenshot_2022-11-17_at_10.29.15_AM.pngnext to the item on the Purchase Order will reveal where the price was received for this item. See the gif below for an example:

How PartsManager Retrieves the Price of an Item on a Purchase Order

PartsManager will automatically find the price of a selected Item in the order provided below:

  • First: When the arrow displays "VendorPrice," the price was retrieved from an Item's Vendor Price entry based on the quantity of the item selected.Vendor_Price.png

  • Second: When the arrow displays "Item," the price was retrieved from the Item's purchase price.Item_Price.png

  • Third: When the arrow displays "ShipmentReceipt," the price was retrieved from the most recent Shipment Receipt where the item was received from the selected vendor.

  • Finally: If PartsManager cannot find a price from the above processes, then you will have to enter the price manually.  Also, if you are not happy with the automatically retrieved price, you can still enter it manually.
