Searching for Jobs using the Jobs List

ServiceTrade provides users powerful access to their data by allowing Jobs to be searched using various criteria. This is also useful because when you have completed your search you can export to run reports on the Job data, with online Jobs listed in your search.

In this article, we will look closer at how you can use the various Jobs data fields to view and access your data.


How to Search the Jobs List page

  1. Click the Jobs button within the navigation menu to visit the Jobs List page.
  2. Enter as much or as little data as you wish to find all relevant Jobs.
  3. Once you have entered the desired data, click the blue Search button to pull up your results.
  4. To begin a new search, and discard the previous results, click the Reset link to the right of the blue Search button.

Note: You can also Search Jobs by Items, Clock Events, or Appointments.



A brief description of the fields available for searching on the Jobs List page

  • Job Number - the number assigned to the Job by ServiceTrade.
  • Company - the Bill-to specified on the Job.
  • Location - the ship to or Service location indicated on the Job.
  • Service Vendor - vendor performing the Job (either your company or a subcontractor).
  • Subcontracted From - Jobs assigned by a particular contractor.
  • Location Office - the office assigned to the Job's location.
  • Job Office - the office assigned to the particular Job.
  • Technician - the technician(s) assigned to the Job. Multiple technicians may be selected.
  • Owner - the Job owner (typically the Job's creator).
  • Salesperson - the Job salesperson indicated by the contract.
  • Status - status of the Job (Unscheduled, Canceled, Scheduled, Completed, Invoiced). Multiple statuses can be selected.
  • Type - the type of Job. Available options will vary depending on the Job Types selected in your Account Settings.
  • Due By - From and To fields allow you to select Jobs' within a due date range.
  • Schedule - From and To fields for selecting Jobs' scheduled within a certain period.
  • Service Lines - the Service Line associated with the Job. Multiple may be selected.
  • Jobs with - Jobs with specific conditions. Applies to a Job's Appointment, Service status, or a Job's part's status.
  • Region - Jobs from the selected, manually-created regions will be displayed.
  • Tag - tags assigned to Jobs.
  • Contract - contract assigned to the Job.
  • Asset Name - asset being Serviced on the Job
  • Sort - the sort order of the search results
  • Limit - number of Jobs to be displayed in results
  • Job Mode - sort by Jobs only, or Projects only


Job Status Definitions

  • Unscheduled: When a Job status is "unscheduled" it indicates the job is not scheduled.
  • Canceled: When a Job status is "canceled" it indicates the job is canceled.
  • Scheduled: When a Job status is "scheduled"  it indicates the job is scheduled with an appointment.
  • Completed: When a Job status is "completed" it indicates the job is completed.
    • Important Note: Once a Job has been invoiced its status will still appear as "Completed" on the Job Page. However, it will no longer be searchable via the Job List View Page using the Status "Completed" even though the Job Status appears to be Completed. See the next status on invoiced jobs.
  • Invoiced: When a Job status is "invoiced" it indicates the job has been invoiced to the customer.
