ServiceTrade's integration with Dexter + Chaney Spectrum may be used to send ServiceTrade to Spectrum as site-specific work orders, using the Spectrum Data Exchange web services module.

Please note that Spectrum does not currently support syncing of customer or site (location) records via web services.  To send a job to Spectrum as a work order, the ServiceTrade job's customer must already exist in Spectrum as a customer, the ServiceTrade job's location must already exist in Spectrum as a site, and both the customer and the location must be associated with their corresponding Spectrum records via ServiceTrade's external systems mappings.

For more information about the Spectrum integration setup process, please see this support article.

Configuration Settings

Web Services URL

This is the URL of the Web Services endpoint for your Spectrum instance.  Please see the Prerequisites section of the Spectrum integration setup article for more information about this setting.

Authorization ID

This is the Authorization ID that you created in Spectrum for the ServiceTrade integration to use.  For more information about creating an Authorization ID and granting it appropriate permissions in Spectrum, please see the Prerequisites section of the Spectrum integration support article.

Enhanced Authentication / Client ID / Client Secret

If your Spectrum instance uses enhanced authentication, you will need to also provide a Client ID and Client Secret.  For more information about accessing your Client ID and Client Secret in Spectrum, please see the Prerequisites section of the Spectrum integration support article.

Default Work Order Type Code

This is the ID of the Spectrum job type that the ServiceTrade integration should use when creating work orders.  Leave this blank if you have configured a default division for site-specific work orders in Spectrum.  Otherwise, you will need to choose a division for the ServiceTrade integration to use when syncing jobs.

You can see the list of available job types in Spectrum by going to Work Order ->
Maintenance -> Work Order Type.

Work Order Type Code Map

If your work orders need to have different work order types in Spectrum based on the ServiceTrade job type and service line, you can define those mappings here. If a job has services associated with multiple service lines, one of those service lines will be arbitrarily selected and used for the mapping.

The default work order type code (see above) will be used for job type/service line combinations that have no defined mapping.

Default Lead Source Code

This is the ID of the Spectrum lead source that the ServiceTrade integration should use when creating work orders.  This is required if you have configured Spectrum to require lead sources for work orders; otherwise, it is optional.

You can see the list of available lead sources in Spectrum by going to Work Order -> Maintenance -> Lead Source.  You can configure whether lead sources are required for work orders by going to System Administration -> Installation -> Work Order and going to the Properties tab.

Default Warehouse Code

This is the ID of the Spectrum warehouse that will be assigned to any material work order items that are synced to Spectrum.  If left blank, Spectrum will assign its default warehouse to material work order items.

Work Order Number Leading Character

If you provide a letter or number here, it will be added to the beginning of the job number when setting the Spectrum work order number. If not provided, the Spectrum work order number will be the same as the ServiceTrade job number.  For instance, for job number 12345678, if your leading character setting is 'S', then the work order number in Spectrum will be S12345678.

Other Item Mapping

The item in Spectrum with this item code will be used for any items that aren't in your ServiceTrade item list.

Automatically Sync New Jobs

If checked, when new jobs are created in ServiceTrade, they will automatically be synced to Spectrum as work orders.  NOTE: If this option is checked, work orders will be created in Spectrum even if the user who created the job does not have permission to manually sync jobs to Spectrum.
