Important Note: PartsLedger is now PartsManager. PartsManager retains all of the parts purchasing and warehouse management automation benefits of its predecessor. To read more about this exciting change, click here.

While in your ServiceTrade Integration Account Settings or when viewing certain items, warehouses, or vendors you may have noticed the external ID 'Parts Manager'. This external ID is an integral piece of the PartsManager + ServiceTrade Integration.

The PartsManager External ID

  • Do not delete the External System in your ServiceTrade Account Settings. Doing so would disconnect the PartsManager + ServiceTrade Integration.

  • Items, warehouses, and vendors that have the external ID 'Parts Manager' in ServiceTrade are synced to PartsManager. Do not delete items, warehouses, and vendors in ServiceTrade with the 'Parts Manager' External ID. Also, do not change the external ID #. If you need to deactivate one of these records, this should be done in PartsManager following the instructions in this Help Center.
    • Example: This is an item in a ServiceTrade account that is synced to PartsManager. Notice the External ID # is 2543.

    • Example: You will notice that the same item in PartsManager also has the same ID # 2543. This allows you to easily find the item in both systems using the external ID #.

The PartsManager Support User

If your ServiceTrade account is connected to PartsManager, you will have a PartsManager Support User in your user list. This user is an important piece of the integration; do not delete this user for any reason.
