The Universal Search field is found at the top right of the ServiceTrade dashboard. This article will walk users through the specifics of how the Universal Search field works and how it can help them find specific data in their ServiceTrade account and improve their workflow.
All matches are perfect matches (case insensitive) unless noted as wildcard. Wildcard searches, or searches of partial search terms, are executed for all non-numerical search terms.
Wildcard search means each space in the search string is converted to a wildcard, then the entire search string is wrapped in wildcards, and then the search is executed. For example, a search for "ob smith" will be executed as `*ob*smith*`
and will return "bob smith" and "Robert Smithwick", but will not return "smith knob" or "orb smith".
