How to Format Multiple Fillable Field Asset Instances

All assets at a Job's Location are available to be prefilled into Blank Paperwork for any Job at that Location, not just the assets serviced on that Job.

You'll notice that all of the Asset Type PDF Field Names have a number in the field name. This represents the first Asset instance. See the below Image.

First_Asset_Instance.gif

On a ServiceTrade Location, the Asset Type Instance is determined by the order of that Type of Asset on the Location's Page. See Below Image.

Asset_Instance_Count_ST.gif

To refer to a different asset instance, change the number 1 in the "-1-" part of the PDF Field Name to the number of the asset instance for which the data should be prefilled.

Example: If you wanted to list Location In Site for multiple Portable Fire Extinguishers, then you would change the numbers in the field name,
"servicetrade_job_assets_extinguisher-1-location_in_site"
to match the asset instance you want to appear on the Blank Paperwork. See the image below:

Extinguisher_Instance_Example.gif

Then you would just name the applicable fields on your PDF (in your PDF editing software) with the fillable fields.

How to Format Subasset Fillable Fields

The format structure for a Subasset fillable field is as follows:

"servicetrade_job_assets-[Asset Type]-[Number Position of Asset]-subasset-

[Subasset Type]-[Number of Position of Subasset]-[Subasset Field]"

Example:

A field named:

"servicetrade_job_assets-extinguisher_group-1-subasset-extinguisher-2-manufacturer"

  • Asset Type = extinguisher_group
  • Number Position of Asset = 1
    • This would be the 1st extinguisher group Asset listed at the location
  • Subasset Type = extinguisher
  • Number of Position of Subasset = 2
  • Subasset Field = manufacturer

This will display the manufacturer of the second extinguisher associated with the first extinguisher group Asset at this Location.
